  • Overview

    Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. General office duties including the processing of orders received by fax, e-mail, computer, or phone.


    • Confer with customers by telephone or in person in order to provide information about products and services, to take orders or cancel accounts, or to obtain details of complaints.
    • Check and maintain inventory for availability and prepare a bill of lading for shipment.
    • Enter and process all inbounds and outbounds.
    • Learn to be proficient on specialized computerized inventory management system.
    • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.   
    • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems.         
    • Compare disputed merchandise with original requisitions and information from invoices, and prepare invoices for returned goods. 
    • Schedule appointments for inbounds and outbounds. 
    • Order allocations to report shortages.     .
    • Assist with the inventory process. 
    • Ensure orders are printed and receipts are confirmed.
    • Ensure that all scheduled trucks are shipped to the correct destination and update the schedule to report no shows.



    Have knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Operate standard office equipment including a computer, fax machine, copy machine, and 9-key adding machine.

    Have good phone skills and a pleasant personality. Be able to multi-task. Good basic math skills and attention to detail are required.

    Previous Warehouse Clerical experience is preferred.
