Move controls to drive gasoline- or electric-powered trucks, cars, or tractors and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, platforms, cars, or lifting devices.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, recharging batteries, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
Operate or tend automatic spacing’s/de-spacing machines.
Operate material handling equipment to support receiving, shipping, staging and product relocation.
Operate all equipment within safety guidelines and attend regularly scheduled safety meeting. Report any accidents and/or incidents to supervision immediately after the occurrence.
Receiving-unload inbound shipments safely and move products to the storage locations. Efficiently stack and store products in the appropriate area(s).
Loading-efficiently move product from the staging or storage areas into rail cars and/or trailers for outbound shipment.
Equipment-load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, slip-sheet or other power equipment. Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and verify equipment is operating prior to the start of the day's activity. Advise the supervisor of any problems encountered. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
Safety, Sanitation, and Security- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.
