  • Overview

    Provide leadership, management and direction for the Business Development, Sales and Marketing for AGRO Merchants facilities in North America. Looking for a charismatic persona that is adept at formulating relationships and forging alliances/loyalties between commercial entities with interpersonal prowess and eloquence in commercial representation.


    Key Account Management

    • Establish direct working relationships and/or ensure proper executive assignment for identified customer accounts
    • Hold regular Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with accounts regarding current service levels, business profiles, scope changes, volume forecasts, new revenue opportunities and pricing
    • Able to be “on call” for key customer requests and responsive to customer demands for requests to support their business
    • Ascertain specifics regarding the supply chains for key customers and develop new solution ideas to grow with existing key accounts

    Business Development Execution

    • Using any means necessary to identify lead sources to act upon and develop into sales opportunities to maximize revenue and EBITDA opportunities in support of AGRO’s financial objectives
    • Work with facility leadership to maintain a formalized business development pipeline for new and existing growth sales opportunities, accurately capturing, following-up, and closure of selling opportunities
    • Provide direct leadership and assist in the development of customer RFP responses and related follow-up
    • Work with operations, IT, finance and related functional groups to successfully onboard customers
    • Support AGRO NA M&A or new site development activities (i.e.- due diligence) where necessary
    • Identify opportunities to leverage and exploit the AGRO network to create value-added solutions for new and existing customers and grow market share in the region
    • Provide input for and maintain / distribute professional marketing materials for the category and facilities assigned

    Pricing and Profitability

    • Adhere to established standard pricing methodologies and rates for services within the category to achieve AGRO’s financial objectives
    • Execute timely customer strategic management reviews and rate adjustments when necessary to meet or exceed Company revenue management and margin goals
    • Work with site leadership, Operations, and FP&A to support actions necessary as a result of customer pricing and profitability analysis across the AGRO NA regional locations
    • Determine operational impediments to revenue/margin targets and create practical and timely plans to resolve them

     Category Leadership and Market Analysis

    • Provide business development support to the North American regional site locations as needed
    • Establish and develop in the industry and related entities (shipping lines, trucking, customs brokers, etc.) are impacted by the supply chain and related supply and demand drivers
    • Identify and maintain knowledge of competitor locations and market supply (i.e.- facility locations, pallet occupancy, services, etc.)
    • Assist in gathering quantitative data and market intelligence around and related regional supply and demand drivers


    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Well-developed communication skills
    • Self-motivated and can manage projects and tasks to successful completion
    • Very good mathematical / computation skills
    • Knowledge of financial statements and ability to interpret financial reports
    • Ability to read, understand & interpret legal contracts
    • Experienced in use of MS Office applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint
